An official Fiesta event, A day in old Mexico or La Charreada was one of the closing events for Fiesta 2008. Let me tell you, I really felt a sense of pride watching these charros showing what they do best! For starters, the presentation of the flags (as seen in pic) really made me proud to be an American but at the same time brought me to a realization of what my ancestors stood for....which is pride in heritage!
Man, all I can say is that my sister and brother-in-law really have pulled it off. And they did it in just 2 months!! First of all, if it wasn't for all the friends, I don't think it would have turned out so good. The dj volunteered his services and did an outstanding job! Catering was the best I've seen in a very long time.
I'll write more later.
